more bike porn

I have been interested in and waiting for some info to hit the streets on the Deluxe 2012 signature frames, and finally this came out

The Union - Insight - Mark Potoczny PAwoods / Pototype model

Max Bimar from France will also have a 2012 signature frame out on Deluxe, but he's gonna fly with 74.5...

Union x United Colab frame

I do like the look of these beauties...and I like to support people in bmx who have got there shit down, and are nice people
but...I could seriously do without spending the £££'s

They have a 74.5 degree headtube, which is maybe a good thing, (to put me off getting one) as I have to say, after having my Frog Brown Deluxe for over a year now, I do seriously love the 74 degree headtube.

It seems there are only a few that are tuned into the speed and handling delight of the 74 degree headtube...Deluxe and Ruben to name the two that are most obvious to me...but I also read yesterday that Taj used to have a 74 degree barcode, I wonder if thats true?

Zombies

Just so you are aware what your local council might be spending resources on....Someone thinks Shaun of the dead could be coming to a town near you....

guardian.co.uk - when-zombies-attack-bristol-city-council-undead-invasion

I find this kind of stuff rather interesting...a bit like the Alien invasion school drills that have been taking place in the UK over recent times

Sunny afternoon

its not even sunny here, it's raining, but as rain is kind of needed for the woods, I'm glad there is some

Just seen this sunny afternoon edit on build the woods, from Epsom. I went to check Epsom trails last Autumn, they were fully tarped up and tucked up for the winter, but the place has to be up there in the top English spots...amazing inspiration for a day with the digging boots on

double up

I won't apologise that this is kind of a double post...with ALV Woods

Chris Radford was able to visit ALV yesterday and sent me this nice photo he took of the woods now, which is 15 months after we were lucky enough to move in start building in a place that I have waited for, for years.

Good to see Chris, have a ride and call by for a look at his trails in Derbyshire too....look forward to next time :)

Digging

Due to having rode quite a lot the last week or so, part of me wanted to get some digging done today, being as we had a little rain, but probably not quite enough yet and I had a few other things to do...so hopefully more rain and even better conditions tomorrow....

Digging, for some, is as fun as the riding....

Catch up and light bulbs

have been catching up with a couple of quality websites from the world of bmx, being as I didn't really do much of that browsing while I was away on me travels....

Prettyshady and Digmore...

and from this brief catch up, along with some pretty rad trails pics from both, prettyshady threw up some good youtube viewing, right up my street....on planned obsolescence; The Light Bulb Conspiracy....where I shall get my quote of the day

"our role in life, seems to be just to consume things, with credit, to borrow money, to buy things we don't need"
